Why We Do What We Do​

We strive to love people as Jesus loves us. We are motivated and committed to the mission of Elevate by our faith in God. We believe God guides our present and future and is the means by which lives are changed in this community through our actions. ​

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 20:25-28)

Just as Jesus healed, fed, and cared for the underserved without any expectation of return, we too serve with this same perspective. Loving our neighbors is loving Jesus. By offering affordable solutions, people in this community are able to provide for their own families with dignity. It is not free and it is not retail. We provide goods and services in the middle to bridge the gap for families to provide for themselves at a price they can afford. The exchange of one value for another creates a space for true equality. It is a simple business deal where the donor and recipient stand on equal grounds with dignity still in tact for both.
